Kelley Ann Walsh
Interdisciplinary Performing Artist & Arts Educator
Kelley Ann grew up in Lexington, Virginia where she studied ballet, modern, jazz, and tap dance at Lexington School of Dance. She received her B.A. in Government from the College of William and Mary and her B.F.A in Dance with k-12 Dance Licensure from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. During her last year at UNCG, Kelley Ann joined the John Gamble Dance Theater, a collaborative dance company that creates set choreography based on movement generated through improvisation
Upon graduating from UNCG, Kelley Ann served as the Director of Dance at Chatham Hall, a secondary girls' boarding school in rural Virginia where she taught contemporary, ballet, improvisation, and choreography. In 2015, Kelley Ann relocated to Columbus, OH where she joined Columbus Moving Company, a collaborative postmodern dance company that combines set choreography and improvisational scores to create evening-length dance works.
In 2017, Kelley Ann completed her training to become an Alexander Technique teacher at Chesapeake Bay Alexander Studies and a Certified Movement Analyst at the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies. She is currently working towards her M.F.A. in Dance at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
